Engaging Conversations was such a valuable & enriching experience for our scholars and all involved. Conversations like these must continue to happen because it uplifts civic engagement in a way that makes it tangible and palatable for our scholars. Our ALA family seeks to educate through and by all means and modalities. By creating these spaces, we educate with intention and empower scholars to solve issues and challenges that plague society that includes underserved & marginalized communities.

Director - Errin Stanger stated:
The Innovation Hub has a strong history of civic engagement throughout Arkansas. We look for innovative ways that we can engage and serve others. We came together as a team when the pandemic hit and the Hub team, along with over 260 makers across the state, provided over 13,000 units of PPE to those in need. We have come together to volunteer at Arkansas Foodbank, partnered with Remix Ideas to support black-owned businesses by providing wifi to local businesses in the 12th St. corridor and we partner with Officer Rathey with the NLR police department in serving our unsheltered neighbors. Makerspaces are often formed out of an abundance of doing good for others, and civic engagement is part of our core.
Thank you for your continued work in our community.
We look forward to an engaging conversation.

Today Arkansas Lighthouse Academies recognizes what would have been Congressman and Civil Right’s leader, John Lewis’s, 82nd Birthday!
We celebrate his three decades of service for all, through public service and civic engagement.
Our partnership with @electusglobal is paying big dividends congrats to Mrs. Lipscomb's 5th graders for earning the FitMoney Financially Fit Junior Certificate.
What have they learned?
Scholars learn why good money habits are so important for a healthy future. They utilized six fun video lessons that helped them learn about earning, saving, and spending their money! They have learned how to be a responsible borrower and where their money goes when they pay for goods, services and taxes. They all completed assessment quizzes to show their knowledge.
Scholars earn cash and rewards on their Life Hub Visa Debit Cards.
