Good afternoon families.
Earlier today multiple emergency vehicles were on our Jacksonville High School Academy campus. We just wanted to reassure you that everything is alright on campus and that there are no threats to our scholars. Our fire alarm went off in the building and for the safety of our scholars we evacuated the building temporarily while emergency services checked over the building. Once we were given the all clear by those services, we re-entered the building to continue with instruction.
We understand that any time emergency services are on campus, parents will worry and so we wanted to call and reassure you that your scholars are safe. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the front office at 501-985-1228. Thank you and have a great afternoon.
December is the time of giving and we here at Jacksonville Lighthouse High School Academy want to embody that spirit this season with our Community Passion Project. On Friday, December 17th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am we are inviting the community out for a free breakfast in front of the high school. We'll be serving sausage, bacon, and biscuits, as well as water and juice. We will also be giving away Survival Packs.
We will be accepting donations at the High School for our Survival Packs now through December 14th. Socks, soap, paper towels, personal wipes, toilet paper, deodorant, and toothpaste are needed and gift cards to local stores such as Wal-Mart and Kroger are also welcome. Please drop off any donations at the High School.
Jacksonville Lighthouse High School scholars who donate will be eligible for free dresscode passes or free assignment passes.
